the skin can develop unsightly dark spots due to many factors, including, as the most common ones, the exposure to sunlight, diseases, acne after-effects, and age-related changes.

These spots are melanic pigment deposits and can appear not only on the face but also on the décolletage, arms and hands. One of the fastest and most effective methods of treating such hyperpigmentation spots is the Q-switch laser.

In fact, this technology is able to selectively target the melanosome without damaging the surrounding skin and allowing for an extremely rapid healing. Before undergoing this laser treatment, it is advisable for the patient to avoid prolonged exposure to the sunlight and specifically UV rays. It is also important not to take medications with photosensitising action.
