Wrinkles

Wrinkles are the main sign of skin aging caused not only by the passage of time but also by several other factors such as stress, smoking, alcohol, light radiation and chemical agents. The progressive sagging of the skin results from a reduction in the activity of the fibroblasts distributed in the dermis, which in turn causes a decreased production of elastic fibres and collagen and the thinning of those already present. With regard to expression lines, a decisive role is also played by the mimic muscles, whose repeated and excessive contraction contributes to the appearance of unsightly wrinkles on the face.
