Cellulite and water retention
Cellulite is a condition caused by a metabolic disorder localised at the subcutaneous tissue level of the buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, and sometimes the upper limbs that triggers an increase in the size of fat cells. As the fat cells swell, they increase their volume and press on the circulatory system of the skin surface, causing water retention and inflammation and thus producing the well-known blemish called “orange peel skin.”
